About Our Business
Earth & Turf Reps, LLC was founded in January of 2007. Glen
Ballinger and Austin Childers joined in a partnership to bring great
service and quality products to the erosion and sediment control
industry.
ETR handles distribution management while promoting and selling
products for our manufacturers. We make sure our manufacturers
continue to increase their business presence in the marketplace and
educate builders, contractors, designers, distributors, engineers,
graders, and many others.

Glen Ballinger is the Owner and Market Development Manager for
Earth and Turf Reps Company. He has 16 years of experience in
erosion and sediment control and Turfgrass management. He has
written several technical articles in industry trade publications on
hydraulically applied erosion control systems and applications.
Ballinger holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Ornamental
Horticulture from Delaware Valley College and has attained the
Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC)
designation. He is a member of the International Erosion Control
Association (IECA) and has been providing erosion control and turf
management solutions on challenging projects on the East Coast of
the US from Florida to Maine for more than 15 years. Ballinger has
been a volunteer instructor at numerous industry events including the
IECA’s Muddy Water Blues, NCSU’s Erosion Control Field Days, &
UCF’s Stormwater Management Academy’s H2O & Erosion Control
Workshop.

Austin Childers is a partner and Territory Manger for Earth & Turf Reps
Company. He has over 10 years of experience in agriculture, turfgrass,
and erosion and sediment control industry. Childers holds a Bachelor
of Science Degree from Clemson University in Agriculture Economics.
He is a member of IECA and is certified as a TN-EPSC, FL-Stormwater
Management Advanced Inspector, and has also completed sediment
and erosion courses in the states of Georgia, North Carolina, and
Tennessee. Childers has been a volunteer and attendee at Muddy
Water Blues, NCSU Sediment and Erosion Control Field Days, UCF
Stormwater Management Academy’s H20 Erosion Control Workshops.
